random before and after

this is a picture of my printer scanning a piece of paper to print it but there isn't any paper there but it did print out a picture of my camera.

this is a picture of a box of matches, it was a number assignment and i was in a hurry but i wish i would have taken the time to get a better angle on this to make it more interesting

assignment #4 high key/low key

this assignment was to shoot white on white and black on black. i really liked shooting this assignment. i thought i bracketed it pretty well when i was shooting it but then when i got to light room i had a lot of trouble. the blacks weren't too hard to get nice and dark and rich and i liked my blacks more than my white when i was printing but when i was shooting i liked my whites more. i think i liked my blacks more was because they weren't just point and shoot. they were a little bit more interesting. like the purse had alot of different texture. but then the whites like the egg whites and shells and then the whip cream are cool textures but its just one so its not as intersting. another reason why the whites are hard is because they are so hard to print. i definetaly didn't bracket enough and even when i was developing the picture onmy screen it would look white but when i printed it was really grey so it took a while to make that look good.

this is one of my favorite pictures by irving penn he is really inspiring and creative.

. he took post world war II feminine chic and glamour pictures.he shot for vogue. he liked to carefully arange objects or people that was his unique style. his photographes were ahead of his time. he died two days ago :(

this assignment was to try and get the best exposure. it was kind of tedious but it is worth it. this assignment was to teach us how to find the perfect exposure by using a really high aperature and then a really low one and taking pictures inbetween. it helps alot so then you don't have to develope the picture in lightroom. because some time if you have a really bad exposure you can't fix it in lightroom. this assignment helped my learn how to bracket and the importance of it but when i shot this i didn't understand that so i didn't really bracket wide enough, but now i know

Assignment #2 numbers

this assignment was pretty fun at first trying to find numbers but it was really hard to stay in order because i would be on 45 and find a really cool 60 so i would have to wait until i got to 60 but by then i would have already forgotten that i had a picture for 60 so it was hard
